Is there a 'spring' in your step?

It sure does look like spring around here! Many weeping cherries are flowering everywhere, daffodils are all but done, forsythias are in full blaze, spireas are just getting to their peak, the bradford pears (don't let me catch you with one of these in your yard!) are almost done flowering, and the crabapples are also just fabulous right now. I finally had a chance to grab my camera and head up to the greenhouse to capture some action while the baby was taking a nap. Here's what I found:
Here are some very young Crimson Queen Japanese Maples just pushing out leaves to their hearts content. They look just like little feathers. Here the weeping larches are also just starting to push out their needles. These plants put on a tremendous amount of growth last year. We should start looking to pot them into 3-gallons, so needless to say they are a great size for the price so far this year.
This is the Morioka Weeping Katsura which we have planted on our property. It's also just strating to push out leaves. It's still a young plant, approx. 3 years old, and hasn't started weeping just yet.

That's it for now! Thanks for visiting.
